[For the moment, Enjolras has opted, as much as possible, for calm, given the situation. It is not ideal, perhaps, but there IS a part of him that hopes that if this cannot be gotten out of by any other means which will ensure dignity for the cause, that it comes to a trial. They'll let him speak if there is a trial, and THAT could come to something useful.
That said, of all the people to end up here waiting with, Grantaire is...surely not whom he would have chosen, and he's certainly not doing much to help Enjolras to STAY focused on that potential future outcome where he's allowed to blast a tribunal with rhetoric, or on how one survives this in the meantime.]
